Free School Meals

The school receives additional funding for all students that are eligible for Free School Meals, issued by the local authorities on receipt of a valid application claim.
Please complete the FSM online application form here.
Free school meals are available to students whose parents or carers are in receipt of one or more of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guarantee element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit ‘run-on’ – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit – if you applied on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get).

Completed applications are submitted to Surrey CC to check for eligibility, and we will inform you of their decision in due course. It is your responsibility to inform the school if there are any changes in your circumstances that may affect your entitlement to Free School Meals.

The school operates a cashless catering payment system and the daily allowance of £2.35 (the cost of the hot main meal) is added to each eligible student’s meal account. However, as they are able to purchase various other items, please ensure there are sufficient additional funds on your child’s meal account, via ParentPay.

If you have any queries regarding eligibility or how the Free School Meal system operates at our school, please contact the Finance Office on: 01252 319211 or finance@allhallows.net.
