Responsible Travel
We encourage students to travel to school actively and in a sustainable way in order to promote their health and wellbeing and protect our local environment. The NHS promote the use of physical activity to boost self-esteem, mood, sleep quality and energy.
This year we have achieved the Bronze Modeshift STARS accreditation. A scheme that recognises schools, and other organisations that show excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable and active travel.

Travelling by Car
- Facilities: Well-lit cycle racks are available for student use at the front of school and are within view of the school CCTV cameras.
- Safety: Cyclists are advised to wear safety helmets and to follow all instructions concerning road safety when travelling to and from school.
- Training for students: The bikeability level 2 course is available to Year 7 and 8 students during the autumn term to develop confidence and promote responsible and safe travel
Travelling by Car
- Where using the car is the only option for travelling to school, we encourage parents to drop students off away from the school entrance.
- A Park and Stride location is available at Farnham Rugby Club less than a 15 minute walk from school and ideal for an easy drop off / pick up. Please see the map below for exact location.
- Where dropping at school is essential, please respect local residents and protect the local environment, do not leave your engine running and ensure the bus bays are kept free of cars.
Travelling by Bus
- Free or subsidised transport to Catholic schools is now rarely available and only at the discretion of the local authority where the student lives. In this area, each authority has its own approach. Please contact your local authority School Transport department if you feel you may be entitled to assistance.
