Catholic Life
The Chaplaincy Team in our school has rapidly grown over the last few years. We have a dedicated Lay Chaplain who is available to work with individual students at break and lunch times, as well as during lessons. The Chaplain offers support and guidance to all students of all faiths.
All members of the Religious Education Department contribute as part of the Chaplaincy team, and are involved in helping to organise liturgical services and events.
As a Catholic school we have strong links with our local Parishes. A number of Priests and Deacons regularly visit school for Friday morning mass, Year group, and Tutor group masses. There is the opportunity to attend Mass on Holy Days of Obligation. Our local priests lead liturgical services and come into school to help out in RE lessons. In Year 8 and 9, students attend Mass at St Josephs Parish Church in Aldershot as part of their Reflection Day.
We host the Annual Schools Mass for the diocese, where we welcome the Bishop of Portsmouth and other school leaders and Chaplains. This allows us to catch up with Clergy, Headteachers and Chaplains to discuss how best they can continue to serve all those in our Diocese.
