Healthy Eating
We prepare a wide selection of high quality and healthy meals, snacks and drinks. Our menus are planned to help the students eat a balanced diet through the week in order to support them in maintaining positive health and wellbeing
We recognise the connection between a healthy diet and a pupils’ ability to concentrate, learn and achieve and therefore we constantly review our food and ingredient suppliers to ensure we use the best quality ingredients for our students. All meat is sourced from a local butcher in Aldershot and every ingredient used is trackable back to its source.
On Friday we prepare fish as the main meal to observe the Catholic tradition of abstaining from eating meat on that day. Special meal days and celebration days are organised to enable students to try out different healthy food options they may not otherwise experience.
Our menus alternate in three-week cycles. Please click the following links for our current menus
Summer Menu 2024
Autumn Menu for 2024-2025 academic year
We also offer the following items every day;
We are happy to cater for all needs and have a very strict allergen policy. Information shared by parents gets logged on our biometric system which will then alert staff if a student attempts to buy a food that is not suitable for them.
The catering team are more than happy to discuss dietary requirements with parents in order to ensure we are meeting the needs of all of our students.
Payment
The canteen operates a biometric payment system, meal accounts can be topped up using ParentPay. Free School Meal allowances are added to the biometric system each day. ParentPay also allows you to view menu choices.
Access the ParentPay site
Please view the menus above to see the available meal options and prices.
In addition to the menus we have pot meals such as curry and stir-fry £2.35 and pasta dishes £1.85
Packed Lunches
In addition to the areas identified above the main hall is also available at lunch time for students to sit and eat with their friends. If your child is bringing a packed lunch into school please ensure it offers a balanced meal with an appropriate variety of carbohydrate, protein and at least one portion of fruit and vegetables each day. As part of our Healthy Schools aim, please be aware that fizzy drinks are not allowed on the school site.
