Reporting
At All Hallows we formally report once a term to update parents and guardians on the academic progress of their children.
At the start of Year 7, we set students academic targets. They are meant to be challenging, but not limiting. The target grades are set as a result of a rigorous process that looks at prior attainment of students and is informed by our knowledge of the students as individuals.
The target grades are constantly kept under review and we are always willing to discuss targets if parents, guardians or students believe they are not challenging enough.
In Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) reports indicate how a student is progressing against their long-term end of Year 11 Targets.
The report indicates whether or not a student is:
In Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) and the Sixth Form (Years 12 and 13) reports give a “Current Projected Grade” for students.
This judgement is made against the following statement:
With the progress made so far, if your son or daughter were to continue to work at the standard they are currently, this is the projected grade we believe they would likely achieve. Current Projected Grade can increase / decrease in line with ongoing progression.
In addition to the academic aspect of the report, we also grade students on their Attitude to Learning (ATL) and Attitude to Homework (ATH). This is done against a 1 – 4 scale, against the following criteria.
