Physical EducationPhysical Education is an integral part of the learning experience at All Hallows Catholic School. The aim of the department is to develop students’ lifelong love of sport and exercise and to provide them with the skills and knowledge to lead an active healthy life now and in their later years. We also aim to provide students with an environment where they can learn and develop soft skills such as resilience, leadership, evaluation, and feedback.
The students will experience a broad curriculum within timetables lessons and will also be provided with an extensive extracurricular timetable. The latter of which, focuses on performance through competitive sporting teams and also mass engagement through recreational clubs. Within the PE curriculum, students are assessed in three ways: Skills – are the students able to physically perform the skills required for the sport they are learning? Knowledge – can the student articulate and apply the knowledge required to perform within their chosen sport? Values – can the student develop and demonstrate wider societal values through the vehicle of sport and exercise? Sport and exercise are integral aspects of leading a physically and mentally healthy life which the PE Department at All Hallows are extremely passionate about. We will ensure all students are able to reap the rewards of regular exercise.
