Governors
Welcome from the Chair of the Governing Body
As of 1 October 2024, the school converted to an Academy and joined the Mother Teresa Catholic Academy Trust (MTCAT). This exciting development marks a significant milestone in our history and one that the Governing Body believes will give us greater access to a wealth of resources, expertise and support, all with the aim of enhancing the educational experience of our students and the educational offer to our local community. It is a great privilege for us all to serve as Governors at All Hallows. We are a high-achieving, popular and oversubscribed school that continues to grow. The Governing Body has been impressed by the quality of the teaching, the guidance and leadership of the Senior Leadership Team, the commitment and professionalism of the teaching and support staff and the exceptional pastoral care provided by the school. It is not, therefore, surprising that many students choose to remain in the Sixth Form, where they have access to superb facilities and dedicated teachers already familiar with your children. Familiarity with staff and environment noticeably eases the transition into A-levels and more intimate class sizes ensure better access to teacher support. Even though we are now an Academy, I am clear that the Governing Body is in place to support and challenge the leadership to develop a forward-thinking sustainable school, relevant to the society in which we live. An example of this was the opening of St Thomas Aquinas Centre which provides our students with a new examination hall and study space for today and many years ahead. I look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to the All Hallows Family in the future. Ian Anderson Chair of Governors All Hallows Catholic School and Sixth Form College |
